Necrotic Sword of Doom

The Necrotic Sword of Doom (NSoD) is one of AdventureQuest Worlds' most coveted weapons. When equipped, it grants a massive 51% bonus damage to all monsters making it a powerful asset. Thanks to its various merging variants, you can effectively have multiple swords that deal 51% all damage, great for different forge enhancement builds. This guide intends to go over requirements for the NSOD.

Prerequisites

• Rank 10 Doomwood
• Doomwood Part 2 completed (someone correct me if wrong)
• Have Rank 10 Necromancer in your inventory
• Completing the initial Blinding Light of Destiny quests, till you can craft metals
• The Span storyline completed
• Recommended to complete the /battleunder a-c storylines

Total requirements

• 7500x Void Aura (VA)
  • Obtain this before beginning the merging for items below
• 5100x Bone Dust
• 31x Chaorrupted Hourglass obtained from defeating Iadoa at /timespace
  • Required for Time Lord's Necronomicon
• 3x (Necro) Scroll of Dark Arts
  • Required for Time Lord's Necronomicon
• 3x Time Lord's Necronomicon
  • Complete Create the Doom Blade’s Aura for Unenhanced Aura
  • For merge into Energized Aura use the Unenhanced Aura
  • Then Necrotic Sword's Aura
• 4x Barium
  • 2x for Find the Doom Blade’s Blade
    • 1x Required for Create the Doom Blade’s Aura
    • 1z Required for merge itself
  • 2x Barium of Doom
    • For merge into Energized Blade use the Unenhanced Doom Blade.
    • Then Necrotic Sword's Blade
• 102x Bones from the Void Realm
  • 100x Find the Doom Blade’s Hilt is completed twice
    • 50x for Create the Doom Blade’s Aura
    • 50x for the Unenhanced Hilt itself
  • 1x for Energized Hilt
  • 1x for Necrotic Sword's Hilt

Void Aura farming

If you’re non-mem, have fun because there’s only really 1 viable option which is doing dailies. The other option is just terrible, long tedious farms with very little reward even if it’s a non-daily. For non-members I recommend doing The Encroaching Shadows (Daily) quest that nets you 50x VA. This will take a total of 150 days to reach the 7500x VA requirement.

”The Encroaching Shadows (daily)”

• Defeat icewing at [/icewing]
• Get 3 eyeballs from the level 90 hydras at /hydrachallenge
• Defeat flibbi at /voidflibbi

If you are member, you have it considerably easier. I recommend you farm Sepulchure's Doomknight Armour as it’ll shorten your farm a lot and it’ll give you a non-daily option that’s actually viable even if you’re not member. Members also have their own daily quest, which will shorten the SDKA farm to 30 days if you choose to do only dailies ignoring the SDKA farming method.

”Glimpse into The Dark (Daily)”

• 13x Kraken Doubloon at /chaoskraken
• Trigoras’ Horns at /ancienttrigoras
• Graveclaw’s axe at /gravechallenge

If you do have SDKA, then you can do this quest at /shadowrealmpast. You should be able to turn in at max stacks every 20-30 minutes if I recall correctly. It’s been a while since I farmed this on main.

”Commanding Shadow Essences”

• 50x Empowered Essence (stacks to 1000x)
• 3x Malignant Essence (stacks to 50x)

”Find the Doom Blade’s Blade”

• 1x Blade essence at /chaoscrypt
• 10x VA
• 1x Barium of Doom

”Find the Doom Blade’s Hilt”

• 800x Cavern Celestite from defeating the crystallised mobs at /battleunderc
  • Also the Soul Searching exists that gives a decent amount
• 5000x Undead Energy preferrably from /necrodungeon the 5 headed dracolich
  • Also if you’re in a group /necroproject is actually more viable dropping 40x bone dust per kill
    • Use the bust for dust quest
• 10x VA
• Primarch's Hilt from /bosschallenge
• 50x Bones from the Void Realm

”Create the Doom Blade’s Aura”

• 10x VA
• 1x Unenhanced Doom Blade
• 1x Chaorrupted Hourglass from
  • Obtained from defeating Iadoa at /timespace
• 1x (Necro) Scroll of Dark Arts from /epicvordred
  • Or alternatively doing the daily VA quests from Braeus can eventually drop it
• 1x Unenhanced Hilt
• 1x Time Lord's Necronomicon
